How to Screen Capture without Special software

To capture the contents of the entire screen (or both screens if you have dual monitors):

1. Press the PrintScreen/Sysrq button on your keyboard, typically located above the number pad.
2. Open paint from Start -> programs (or all programs) -> accessories.
3. Click edit -> paste or press ctrl + v on your keyboard. This should paste your screenshot into paint.
4. File -> save as -> make sure the file type is JPEG or JPG.

To capture the contents of the active window only:

1. Press Alt + PrintScreen buttons on your keyboard simultaneously.
Follow steps 2-4 above.
